As I am sure many other fashion enthusiasts in the Southeast will agree, it was a fun-filled and glamorous week had by many at this years annual Fashion Week in Columbia, South Carolina. The event was created for people from all ages and walks of life and the party just keeps on getting bigger and bigger each year! This years event kicked off with an invite-only VIP Press Party hosted downtown at the fabulous Styled by Nadia. Featuring exclusive fashion pieces which are hand-selected by Nadia herself, I have to say that she has impeccable style. I wanted to buy EVERYTHING - and I almost did!
We had a lovely time exploring her boutique in the heart of downtown Columbia on Lady Street as they gave their guests the star treatment with the red carpet lining the entryway. Nadia herself was just as sweet as she is fashionable. In the words of her brand, “Naida has a passion for helping women feel and look their best, regardless of budget.” Oh, and they also serve wine on Thursdays, so be sure and plan a visit soon.

 Ivonne of Carolina Eye Candy, Alicia the creator of Columbia Fashion Week, and I at Styled by Nadia  | After scooping up my media pass for the week, a camera crew from News 19 WLTX walked in to cover the event. Tuesday’s festivities included a pop up shop hosted by WLTX’s own Television Producer, Roshanda Pratt. Friday featured the 8th annual Beautiful People Party - a who's who event of the most stylish citizens of Columbia. I was proud to say that I knew one the winners of the Most Stylish in Columbia Awards, Miss Donna Anderson, owner of Bellah Modeling Agency. Donna and I got to know each other well a few months ago while we were both helping with a runway show in Charleston, South Carolina that was produced by Gina Roberts, creator of Brooke Wilder Atelier and Off Runway Events. This show featured some of the top designers in the industry who have dressed the likes of Gisele Bündchen and Miley Cyrus. |
