Abdusalomov Abrorbek is a professional boxer and Cup champion and hails from Uzbekistan in Central Asia.
Abrorbek has been boxing for 12 years, so it is safe to say that a good amount of his life thus far has been dedicated to professional sports. As we all know, some major dedication is required to make it BIG time in this industry. So...nice work, Abrorbek!

Abrorbek's favorite city to travel is anywhere in America and the city of Dubai. Speaking of Dubai, I have desperately been wanting to travel there myself, but I’ve heard things. Anyone out here that may have any recs or suggestions if heading into the city? If so, please email me at [email protected].
I digress. When asked who his favorite athlete was, Abrorbek tells me that he is extremely fond of Floyd Mayweather. Not surprising considering that Mr. Mayweather aka Money aka Pretty Boy (I assume because of his good-looks and unscathed “boxing” face) is known all over the world for his accolades. During his career he won fifteen major world titles, and in 2020, Mayweather was ranked second on Ranker's list of best boxers of the 21st century.

BTW, I was there for the first UFC Fight Night in Raleigh! Speaking of boxing, I wanted to give a shoutout to my city for hosting UFC Fight Night at the PNC Arena in Raleigh back in January of 2020. This was one of the most FUN nights I have had living in The City of Oaks with my friends! Pic to the right is my BFF's husband working hard as he does sound engineering for the organization. |
So I digress. Again. It looks to me like a classic trend with fighters getting pumped before a big match by listening to music that lifts them up to the next level. Abrorbek himself likes to listen to rap while training and his favorite Fashion brand is Asia Champion Sportswear (you know I had to ask!). With over 14,000 followers on instagram alone, it is easy to see why this athlete is so well liked! His handle is @abrorbek_abdusalomov_.
When I was able to converse with Abrorbek I wanted to know how he was holding up with the pandemic. He said that his schedule has completely changed, as it has with everyone else. I know that athletes pride themselves on routine, so I can only imagine how difficult this has been for players in the professional sports industry. Abrorbek says that he is still "doing his homework," while configuring his new modified routine to follow with training.
I asked Abrorbek if he has any advice for his fans trying to cope. He wanted to share with them, "I wish my fans patience and satisfaction. I ask them to be careful as a test to God."
As Mr. Mayweather said himself on his Twitter account last April, “When times are challenging, your biggest opportunities arise.” Professional Sports and the world at large needs us to be strong right now.
Go get em', Champs! God bless.
